Radiologist
The Radiologist reviews imaging requests from doctors and records their findings in the patient's record. Their workflow in LAMISPlus mirrors the laboratory workflow, they receive orders, process them, and return structured results, but their domain is radiology and diagnostic imaging rather than laboratory tests.
What they see when they log in
The Radiologist sees pending imaging orders from doctors, requests for chest X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, or other imaging studies. Each order shows the patient, the study requested, and the clinical information provided by the ordering doctor.
What they can do
Reviewing imaging orders The Radiologist reviews the imaging request, which may include clinical notes from the doctor indicating the reason for the study and any relevant clinical history.
Entering imaging reports After reviewing the imaging study, the Radiologist enters their findings and report into the patient's record. The report is linked directly to the original imaging order and is visible to the ordering doctor immediately.
Result management The Radiologist can update a report if additional review or comparison is needed, and can view the imaging history for a patient across previous visits.
What they cannot access
The Radiologist sees only the clinical detail the referring doctor included in the imaging request. Full consultation notes and clinical history, prescriptions, lab results, billing records, and triage information are all outside their access.
How the workflow connects
When a doctor orders a chest X-ray from the consultation screen, it appears in the Radiologist's queue. Once the X-ray is taken and reported, the doctor sees the report alongside their consultation notes without needing to chase the result manually. This keeps the clinical workflow moving without paper-based handoffs.
